An Evening of Bridal Luxury
Chicago Social Brides and Vera Wang hosted Chicago's first annual bridal luxury event at The Peninsula Hotel Chicago.
The Peninsula Hotel Chicago opened the doors to their grand ballroom on February 18, inviting Chicago's most elegant brides to indulge in their wedding fantasies. Hosted by Chicago Social Brides magazine, "An Evening of Bridal Luxury" featured an exclusive runway show by Vera Wang culminating in the official announcement of Vera Wang's new bridal salon to open on Oak Street this spring. Belle Vie Bridal Couture kicked off the event showcasing their 2007 bridal collections from Amsale, Anne Barge, Christos, Elizabeth Fillmore, Justina McCaffrey, Lazaro and Reem Acra. Never before seen wedding floral and event design ideas created by Heffernan Morgan turned the ballroom into a majestic palace of wedding delight, while the hip, mod sound and video styling of Fig Media played throughout. Oscar-style swag bags created by All She Wrote and valued at over $1,000 included special gifts from Tiffany & Co., Neiman Marcus, and Beauty on Call, among many of Chicago's other leading wedding vendors, were handed to Brides as the finale to the perfect evening. A percentage of the evening's proceeds were donated to Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization, Illinois Affiliate. From the high fashion to the décor and the food right down to the little blue box, it was a luxurious way for brides to spend their Sunday.
